Karoo Gestures

These works were made in residence at Modern Arts Projects- South Africa in the Groot Karoo. These sculptural gestures were inspired by the book, The Story of an African Ant Farm, also set in the Karoo. The sculptures became complete when I incorporated natural reed weaving, a skill learned from other artists at the residency.
